National Digital Library of India (NDLI) Club

 

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group specific services such as examination preparatory for school and college students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. NDLI meets India’s complex mix of learning needs spanning from multiple languages, geographies, socioeconomic groups to multiple streams and levels of proficiency, through a single-source multi-access knowledge repository. It is a virtual teaching-learning-evaluation-knowledge discovery and innovation platform to encourage collaborative, personalized, self-paced, new-age multi-media education at all levels. NDLI Clubs enable learners to effectively use NDLI throughout their journey of education while motivating them to contribute actively towards a national knowledge trove. Virtual events are web-based and are conducted through the NDLI Club portal. NDLI Club members can access a huge repository of free and open access learning resources, from anywhere and at any time, either through desktop PC or laptop or tablet or mobile, from National Digital Library of India (NDLI) (https://www.ndl.gov.in or https://ndl.iitkgp.ac.in). All institutions are instructed to setup the NDLI Club at the earliest.
